The installation of dell sonicwall netextender is failed install#
Your solution sounds very complex, the solution given by LeroyG09 above of installing v10 of NetExtender worked perfectly for my issue (and is the right solution for mass deployment of NetExtender to users), no manual driver install or blocking updates, everything installs as per the defaults. Someone has managed to install the VPN from Dell, I use a lot to work, however I can not install, I have already seen several forums and I could not solve it, I really liked Deepin and would not want to have to remove it. It may well be the Intel RST driver causing the issue, or an incompatibility from NetExtender with that driver (hence why they updated it). In my search for a solution i did see people reporting the issue you described, this was related to having the SATA in RAID mode and not AHCI mode (when they weren't using RAID). So if it was the Intel RST driver issue then it wouldn't have mattered when i installed NetExtender (which it didn't as i tried deploying it after and during enrollment to InTune, with the same result). If i installed the NetExtender MSI manually the issue didn't occur. The issue only occurred when i installed the MSI via InTune. Thanks for the input, i think you have a different issue. Maybe it saves some people some time and headache and save them from having to do a fresh install. So in my experience even though it was saying it was the Netexender driver that was causing the issue, It ended up being the Intel RST driver and how i was able to figure that out is because it would aways blue screen after updating that driver and then I would have to roll it back to get it to boot properly.

Turned automatic updates back on and installed all available updates (it didn't reinstall the Intel RST driver because i had just updated that driver manually). Navigate to Device Manager and check if the Dell SonicWALL SRA NetExtender Adapter has been installed successfully. I rebooted and everything booted up successfully.

Rolled back again to before the driver install and updated BIOS and all other drivers available for the system and lastly installing the Intel RST driver. Type the following command to remove the service: sc delete SonicWallNetExtender.

I was able to roll back the driver to before the update and turn auto updating off and I manually updated the driver from the Dell support page and after rebooting it blue screened. It blue screened after windows automatically installed an updated driver for the Intel RST driver from windows update.

I hope some of those clues will help you.I actually just came upon this issue a couple of days ago and even though it says the sfpmonitor.sys is the fault for the blue screen, its actually an intel RST driver update that caused the issue on mine. I have also tried the version of NetEx that gets installed from the portal, as well as the latest version from mysonicwall.

One solution is to upgrade all the company SonicWalls. However, the issue is the same when using a "LocalUser" from the sonicwall device. In my case, the version of NetExtender for Mac, 6.0.719, on my company SonicWall works on 10.8 Mountain Lion, but fails on OS X 10.9 Mavericks. Delete Dell SonicWALL NetExtender with Windows Add/Remove Program (for Windows 8, 8.1, 10) Right-click on the Windows button at the bottom left corner of the desktop. Install the certificate before installing the main software. Install on a new pc and check always trust this publisher. When the removal is complete, click 'Finish', and restart your computer. Previously, i managed to install the version 7 with the help of your tips. The workstations I am testing from are not domain joined (to the domain doing the LDAP auth). Click on Uninstall to start Dell SonicWALL NetExtender removal. It is possible the problem is related to Auth scheme.Īnother possibility I haven't been able to test yet, related to the above, is that the reason is related to the computer trying to connect not being a member of the domain. This problem seemed to start after enabling LDAP+LocalUsers Auth (was LocalUsers). I thought this might be related to time so I checked the config on the firewall and DC and everything was in perfect sync, so I don't think that is the issue. I would just try and try and eventually it would work. I have had some seemingly random success. I have had some success with a simple reboot: close NetExtender, Reboot. I wish I had a more complete answer for you, but I have the same problem, and it's not 100% resolved.
